ok, it's the first time i'd ever been to pacha and i give it
not that different than the old SF, and apparently some cockroaches from the old SF never left. lol... there was definitely some douchebaggery being committed but it didn't deter me from having a good time!!!
now.. what a set by timo!!!! Every Single Song i was like    talk about insane deep tech/minimal oooooooooooo yeaaaaa exactly what i like!!! it reminded me of the stuff we heard @ dc10..
I had to leave around 2:45, but my favorite part musically was the beginning because OMFG THE BASS IN THOSE TRACKS and in the sound system!!!!!!!!!!!!!! made my ing Larynx vibrate!!!!!!!! it was ing awesome... you couldn't evne hear yourself think.... and even with earplugs, that system is just too loud but WOW, i'm glad i wasn't able to sit on a speaker :stongue: :stongue:  the vibe started to get real good around 2am too, with people clapping/screaming/whistling...
definitely looking forward to sven rocking the out of that place soon1!!!!!
shamez/chris, always great seeing you guys!!!! :D too bad i didn't see you before! i spent the whole 1st hour looking for familiar faces. ah well :) |

Whoops.
Decided to go to this because I hate Crobar, like Pacha, and it was free. Didn't realize the music was going to be so good. Various times throughout the night, my friend just looked at me and said "This music's so hard! It makes me want to kill someone!!!" And he was right. HARD HARD HARD. Pretty cool Pacha crowd, as usual. I've been there about 5 times now and have not come across a bad crowd yet.
I wish more TAs went so I could get some IDs. There were a lot of songs I'd love to hear again, but probably never will. I know nothing about techno.
Also... the audio. Worst (maybe not the worst... more like the loudest) I've heard in a long time. The bass was ridiculously loud. My friend and I were just standing at one point and said "I feel the beat in my throat." Then... later on in the night when I ran into Daniela, the lone TA I saw, she said the same thing! Other than that, it's all good. I would go to another of his residencies for sure. |
