Vengaboys - Kiss (Airscape Mix) <- is it really a remix?

| Would people actually consider this a remix or is its own song? Listening to it, it contains nothing of the vengaboys whatsoever so how is this even considered a remix. To me it's a brand new song. |

| Hmmm good question ... but there are lots of remixes out there that sound sod all like the original if you ask me ... I think as long as it's got elements of the original song in there somewhere (albeit they have been totally warped, timestretched and generally pissed about with beyond all recognition) then it's entitled to be called a remix? |

yes this is indeed a REAL mix
airscaped mixed it and it sounds amazing!!.. its quite old though.. dosen't sound a bit like vengaboys - kiss!!!

the question was if u could call it a remix, if it doesnīt sound like the original. I played it to a friend of mine and he also didnīt recognised that it should be a remix from "kiss". Hmmm... but when itīs labled as a remix it is one :) |

Good question. There are other examples as well, such as:
Vengaboys - Cheekah Bow Bow (Transa Remix)
Vengaboys - Paradise (Dumonde Remix)
Vengaboys - Uncle John From Jamaica (M.I.K.E. Remix)
All gr8 tunes with nothing at all in common with the horrible originals. :cool: |

hahaha, well, they're both in the same key... u could probably sing the lyrics over the airscape remix, and it'll still match. |
