Not every club in the universe has to be 14+ now. Just at least one so kids have *somewhere* to go. People don't magically start partying at 21 you know.

I too think 18 year olds are immature. I think 14 year olds are the most retarded people. But Im sure someone in their 30s thinks my sorry 23 year old ass is a pretentious stuck up snob.

Just come to El Salvador and you can buy a drink even if you were 10. The official law is 18+ I believe, but no one follows it (same goes for cigs). Some clubs do require you to be at least 18 to enter, but as long as you look like it and have a nice hot chick with you there are no problems. High school life in El Salvador is really something, compared to American high school life imo.

I found that comment interesting. Different, in what way? Are the parties better?

ohhhhh, ahahaha. I get it. He means "16+ to have sex with girls." Makes sense that I misinterpretted that one! Yeah, Australia does kick ass then. :)

Actually I would say American drinking laws are oppresive, as well as Sweden's. Here you have to be 18 to drink at a club/resturant and 20 to buy in stores, which is waaaaaaaaay to high imo. But anyhow, these laws are imo greatly discriminating against our youth.

I have a good friend whoose cousin studied uni in california, and she had a party at her house where people under 21 participated, and they were drunk, and the police came and arrested them and my friends cousin (charged for suppling alcohol to underage people). So even though she didn't actually give alcohol she was charged (and was in a trial) only for ing having 21- people at her party! That's as ing insane as it gets imo!!! And not only that, that the police stops private parties in the US is police state enough if you ask me :S

The upside is once you turn 21 you don't have to hang out with a bunch of teeny-boping wannabe-mature KIDS anymore.

I agree. Police here should have more important things to do such as controlling gun violence or busting meth labs. Personally I think if someone is mature enough to be of age to make an educated decision to join the military, then they are old enough to make an educated decision about drinking.
