I posted this question in the Holland forum, but nobody knew this!
Is We are alive originally by Pvd or by another band?
I was watching Get Real and i heard the song in it, but played by a band!! They also showed people on trampolines, just like in the video by PvD.
An no, i don't blame him if he used the song, i just think it's a cool song and if there is another version by some band, i would like to find it --> so i need a name!
Thanx for the help....

Open the "Out There And Back" booklet - all the information is written there; it is a collaboration. |

If you had heard this track played in it's ORIGINAL RAW format during PvDs midnight set of Gatecrasher2000 you would not say this was a commercial track.
This was a peice of wizardry - he knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote this - nothing commercial was intended..... you should have seen what it did to the Gatecrasher crowd when he used to drop this baby - un-ing-beleivable!!!!

| The original is good, a bit on the commercial side but it's still awesome. The 2 radio edits however are almost britney spears sounding they are so commercial so stay away from those and stick to the original.:D |

Thing is I'm talking about the original, not many people will have heard it, it's strange, it almost sounds a little rough, it is not the original as in the one on the Out There And Back album but the one PvD must have cut prior to all the studio work etc to polish it. As PvD said he was handed the old tune that was sung by Jennifer Brown on acetate and because it was ed somehow it made the tune live a little from it's roughness.
It was an amazing sound.

PS Do you blame PvD for making a few bucks out of the commercial chart - it, as long as his whole music theory doesn't change (like Fragma's did after Toca Me) then who cares? |

Thanx a lot guys,
I got the PvD CD from the internet, so i don't have the booklet. Thanx for the info.
Second i wanted to say that the radio edit does sound commercial, but it's just one track!! And it was probably not made to be commercial, like For An Angel. This track was very popular but not a commercial track. I think he deserves it. He probably earns enough, but what do people like Britney Spears do, they just sing a stupid song, it gets hyped and they get the big bucks.
So Jennifer Brown, we're alive! I don't know if u guys actually heard this one, but i think it sounded pretty good! I am open to all kinds of music, if i like something, i like it :D
