just because people don't think the way you do does not mean that they're lacking in mental faculties. that's what annoys me the most about those posts. |

Great personal shot, though I don't think I exemplify what you're talking about. In general, though, I'd agree. If you think my posts don't have quality and lack a consummate thinking process, go stroll into the COR.
At least people can understand what I'm saying since I don't write in abstract terms ;) |

No, I just don't go out of my way to be cryptic and confusing. You said that forums can be a great form of democracy, to which you're right. That's why for a democratic exchange of ideas, it's important to use defined terms. Art, as you seem to think your posts are , isn't always a defined or quanitifiable, which is why I wouldn't constantly use it to express my opinions on here. Every once in awhile, if I were more right brained, I would use it, but not constantly.
Like Sal said, you seem to feel that you're superior to everyone else because you're an emotional artist, but instead your smug attitude makes you a joke to a lot of people on here. In the end, as a means of transferring ideas to the broadest audience, objective argument > subjective argument.
Also, if being objective and understandable is ordinary, I guess I am a specialist. ;) |

clearly you don't know what objectivity means nor
have the attributes or preparation to evaluate with
such merit therefore your bias statements qualify you
perfectly as an ordinary extraordinaire often times

I can't believe I have to respond to elaborate on the definition of objectivity. Did you make it past 2nd grade English? Why did you link a wikipedia article dealing with objectivity in politics and journalism when all that you have to do is go to a dictionary? Here's a definition that maybe you'll comprehend - http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=objective
Objective - Adj.
1. Of or having to do with a material object.
2. Having actual existence or reality. (in other words, something DEFINED, not abstract)
3. a)Uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices: an objective critic. See Synonyms at fair.
b)Based on observable phenomena; presented factually: an objective appraisal.
4. Medicine. Indicating a symptom or condition perceived as a sign of disease by someone other than the person affected.
5. Grammar.
a) Of, relating to, or being the case of a noun or pronoun that serves as the object of a verb.
b)Of or relating to a noun or pronoun used in this case.
Learn to understand all uses of words before criticizing. I wasn't referring to objectivity in terms of definition 3 above so my bias has nothing to do with it.
BTW, shouldn't you have said clearlyou, knowhat, and qualifyou. I'm impressed by your conversion to separating words. We all appreciate it. :) |
