a couple weeks ago i made a philosophy thread in the c0r which brought up a lot of great discussion. since i know there are a lot of people in here that dont venture into the c0r because of some of the morons who lurk there, i thought that in order to bring some more great discussion in my philosophy thread, i'd give you guys a link to the thread so if you'd like to participate, by all means..
there are some incredibly intelligent people who spend their time in pretty much just this part of TA so i think having some extra opinions from those of you would be great.

| thing is i dont want to spend what little intellectual thought i allow myself at home on a cor post that will not afford me that single additional post count. |

| then by all means, post your thoughts in here. i figured since its busier in the c0r it would generate more responces combined with the intellect of some of the people in here would make for solid discussion. if you wanna post what you think here then do so but i'd like to stay away from splitting up the discussion, even though no one has posted in the c0r thread yet :haha: :( |

want me to reply in the cor thread or in here ??
ill spell out the pros and cons of it lol ...
get the thread going in pdd
advantages: logical replies
disadvantes: exhaustive, large words
get the thread going in cor
advantages: shorter replies, less thought
disadvantes: 99% chance of getting off topic often
i agree/disagree with both.
in fact i have already used more of what little intellect i have on helping u decide where to house the thread than actually the thread topic. |

| well like i mentioned in the beginning of the thread, you can bring up any philosophical issue you want to discuss. the one i mentioned is just one i'm interested in (or more or less, the one i have to be interested in in order to finish my paper) |

Hmmm, there's a few ideas I've pondered by some of the greats - Aristotle, Kant, Nietche, etc.
But there's one question that's truly bothering me.
Did the Care Bears really give a ? Did they really "care"? Or was it just a business ploy to sell themselves and their marketing products? They had their own cartoon, their own stuffed bears of themselves, pillows, purses, backbacks, lunchpales, stickers, Jesus - what the didn't they sell?
And how much do you want to ing bet those little f$ckers had their products made in Indonesian or Bangladesh child slave sweat shops? I don't mind the Care Bears being international, mind you, but if this was indeed the case, were they truly caring about those kids creating their products while they ing couldn't leave for piss breaks and had to urinate down their ing legs? Or having to eat a ing graham cracker for lunch while getting paid pennies a day?
Or how 'bout the ing women in those ing "Care Bear" sweat shops, most likely being raped at will, having to work 70-80 work weeks for the same money as the enslaved children?
Did those ing hypocritical piece of Care Bears "care" then? What philosophical grounds did they have for such individuals being enslaved to make their lovely ing "Care" products?
And did the ing Care Bears give a ing as to what they were doing to their rival products? How the did they feel about squashing out My Little Pony? Strawberry Shortcake? GEM? How the did they feel as they took the financial brunt of those cute little furry ing vitriolic "Care Bears"?
And why a ing bear? Don't they realize how vicious a bear can be? What kind of ing "caring" image is that supposed to give to our children - that they can walk up to wild animals like a grizzly bear and give it a god damn big ass squeeze just like they can with their stuff "Care Bear", and tell that ing grizzly how much they themselves care and love that bear the same ing way they love their own cuddly little "Care Bear" that mommy bought them, all the ing while that bear decapitates poor Susie and munches on her organs while losing balance slipping and sliding around on her intestines as they spill out at that grizzly's feet, only to make the bear more angry for losing his balance and ultimately his pride in front of the other grizzly bears as they laugh at him for falling on his ass from Susie's guts, and resolves to further tear poor Susie to bits in his supreme anger and embarrassment?
And THIS is the ing image we want to give to our kids? Are these bears REALLY "caring" at all?
I'm sorry, but I simply must dissent. |
