I have a real problem. I cannot get FL6 to run as well as FL5, but I can't get the latest version of FL5, not even from the MAKERS!

I bought the program; I have a regcode. I just need the installer.

I think the latest version was 5.0.6, but I am not sure.

Anyone have a link they could share? Just the installer. That's all I need.

Hmmm I can see why you're irritated. This comment really says it all:

"It's pretty plain to see that the people that have trouble are dismissed as a statisical occurance and you get blown off."

I have to say that your situation doesn't inspire me with confidence regarding the current problems I'm having with V Station crashing FL. No solutions from either Novation or Image Line and no signs of one on the horizon.

Stuff like this makes me wonder why we bother to even pay for software in the 1st place.

btw what were the problems you were having with v.6?

I do have a FL5 installer, but I'm not sure if it'll be the one you want. I've sent you a PM...

No kidding. I personally like to support the people that make the software... because without them I wouldn't have it. But in this particular case, it was pretty easy for my problem to be solved and although everyone I talked to had resources enough to give me what I needed... they chose not to for some reason.

I'm really not sure why.

Anyway, FL6 is just that much more power hungry that any songs I was working with just at the limit of my CPU's capabilities, are now causing crazy ammounts of underruns. The two programmes have about a 20% difference in CPU usage.

Well, I like to run legit software but more for selfish reasons than anything - I prefer to have a bug-free stable system, that SHOULD be more reliable. However if you're gonna talk about supporting the people who make the software. Fair enough, but that's a morality issue. The bottom line is you pay good money and the company's end of that bargain is to provide a fully working product with good technical support. In our cases they're not.

Yup.

But you can understand their attitude; they have so many customers they can't possibly satisfy every single one of them.

"Too bad, oh well."

I don't personally agree with this attitude, but they can AFFORD to adopt it.

For every pissed off customer they lose, there are 10 more people perfectly willing to take his place.

Whatever happenned to the good old days of "piss one person off and they'll tell ten more?" Shouldn't the internet be better for sabotaging business?

Heh. It's not my place though. I just want my damn software.

Anyone have FL Studio v5.0.4 or above BTW?

FL6 runs more efficiently than FL5...

check your settings.

Shibby, no man.

Maybe the audio part is more efficient, but something about the program puts it over FL5, and I'm temped to blame the graphics engine.

The programmer even paraphrased my case as such.

Alright. I have the version I wanted! v5.0.2c Is the latest I can find but it has the features I need.

If anyone wants it, I'll be glad to upload it for them.

Email me if you want it.
