its a descent psy track with some cool elements, somehow the energy isn't as grabing as it could be, but thats neither here nor there.. I like the vocal bits.

So where were you for Psyunite? :(

I like this lead synth early on. Sounds almost country western, just really trippy.

The beat should have been back by 2:19. Letting it come in a measure late totally destroyed the energy, IMO.

Otherwise, another wonderful trancer. Keep up the good work.

synth leads... I actually stole some tid bits from boogie man from KC and the sunshine band, so the lead is actually disco at the beginning...

It's also where I got the name of the track, kinda a play on a night on disco mountain... I think a night on trance mountain might have been a bit too corny. he he.

was kinda having a hard time with the flow on this one, there were a couple of leads I took out to minimalize it a bit. I actually plastered on of my favorite tracks over it to check out where they put thier break downs... not really my style with so many drop outs... but was kinda stuck a bit... thought I'd give it a whirl.

I agree with the energy thing... was going a bit for a spacer on this one...

had a mixed dancefloor reaction to it... probably the flow and too many breakdowns...

thanks for all the input...
appreciate it...

sorry about psyunite...
I have to admit, I'm not as active as I'd like to be in forums.

hello....

kewl intro...
neat synths around 0:50
kinda sounds like a chilled psy trancer
cool square synth around 2:50

the synths at 4:15 and 5:00 are toight. ;) 5:25 is cool

overall very solid stuff... surprised your not around here very often.... I'm liking what I'm hearing and hopefully i get to see you at the Karma festival maybe

very nice
I am too different and lower level to comment excessively
BUT your creative use of kc and the sunshine's synth leads(I recognized them instantly, and of course, so will anyone . . . ) really taught me a lot. That is very cool how you used that and extended that. hmmmmmm ;)

Im not sure I like the synth/string in the very beginning all that much.

But it's pretty cool...

/me listens to Aya - A Night on the Mountain [00:14 of 07:03m/320Kbps/44KHz]

Ok. Wow. That tweaky bit at the beginning caught me off guard. Not too bad.

Good goa/techno kick drum! Mmm tasty.

1.06 Here comes a little break. Hmmm. I would work a bit more on mixing and levels. Some things seem a bit too soft. It would be nice if your percussion was a bit mor present. Subtly though. Because it does fit very well.

2.05 I'm really digging this. And I love the samples. And this isn't just psy trance. It has really good melodic elements in it. Which is refreshing compared to how most psy-trance is delicious and tweaky, but lacks melodic complexity. This is nice.

3.00 Pretty chill though, despite your melodies and stuff. Oh. NM. (3.13) In all honestly. I think this little break could have lasted another measure longer or so. Kinda killed the energy to just go right back into the kick. Don't be afraid to make your track longer! The longer the better (as far as mixing goes).

4.04 Very cool. Very very cool. You introduce all kinds of melodic elements. This is really nice.

5.48 fun!

Keep it up. Very pro sounding.

:)

thanks DJFreaq,
seems like the twisted KC and the sunshine band stuff at the beginning throw people off a bit... I was just kinda spacing out when I did that one at the beginning.

The softness is me hitting the compresser a bit too hard on the soft bits... which in theory should be louder... hmmm...

glad you like it...
I was going for a spacer with a good hook at the beginning and then a gradual buildup to the beginning to tell a story...

about how someone either goes up to a mountain by himself...
with the beginning being a bit chaotic remembering how he got up there... the synth strings are representive of just sitting there after all that attempt to just get there... 2:08, he has a realization that he's at the end of the world... hence the chants and more tribal rhythms... 3:55, "none of this is real, you pull the plug, I disapear, and nothing I ever say or nothing I ever do will ever matter"... which is hammered home by the chorus chants... then come the leads... sort of a realization of little importance through seeing how small you are compared to a mountain you sit on top of...

hope you find that intersting...
