You need a soundcard with minimum 2 stereo outputs...
You can always just use RCA to 1/4 cables tho... |

| I'm not sure what a Powerbook actually includes for sound hardware, but my desktop computer, I'm just connecting my mixer to my 7.1 soundcard through 1/8 stereo to RCA cables and my computer speakers are hooked up to my mixer by a 1/8 to 1/4 connecter and 1/4 to RCA cable. |

Another alternative is the Echo Audio "Indigo dj" (2 stereo outs) or "Indigo io" (1 stereo out & 1 in). These cards plug into the PCMCIA cardslot. I've got the "dj" model, works well for me, no extra cables and power to worry about.

BTW new laptops being released this year will have a new type of PCMCIA cardslot which does not work with old cards. |
