Hey TAs, here's my latest production. I tried to be more energetic than my recent dreamy numbers, this one is melodic and somewhat uplifting trance :D
[p.e.g] - elite 192Kbps
I hope you enjoy listening, any feedback is most welcome! |

listening:
plus
nice kick..
nice intro synth
i like the guitar.. cool
4:00 i like the break.. i like the melody as well..
minus
percs may sound a bit messy
could have had some better dynamics
overall
this production starts off well.. and builds up to a break at around 4 minutes introducing a good melody, with a sad touch to it.. i get the Fire & Ice feeling listening to this.. and the distorted guitar on top just sounds very good indeed.. but as most tracks i find here the dynamics could have been better.. and i like the percs.. but sometimes dont quite know which part of em to keep my ears on..
very honest melodic/uplifting trance track without being too much of a cliche..
very nice work :) |

Listening :)
Love that guitar and the start, and that arp is interesting as well - nice buildup to the bass.
Perhaps that synth is a bit dry IMO, the one that comes in when the bass starts.
Nice acid sounds too, and the bass changes are great too, though I think you could do with a more thumping kick :D.
That guitar is excellent, what did you use for it?
Breakdown - I like this melody - quite '99ish.
Could maybe do with a bit more power after the breakdown, perhaps a stronger kick migght work.
Overall a cool track, that guitar is excellent, good job man. |

Hey phill, had a listen at home and all the sounds seem quite well placed.. the guitar part really gets to me, very emotional and well done.
The breakdown is nice, however after it kicks in I feel that it's a bit high pitched for my liking.. perhaps lower a few octaves on your synths or something.
I really dig the bassline too..
My second favourite from you after the almighty chiba! |

Track starts with nice percs, and a groovey sidechained type bass coming. I think the bass is sidechained a bit too much actually :p just my taste though ! at 1:00 it sounds pretty epic already.
The main lead synth i thought was a bit too liquid / digital maybe, overall nice energetic track, melody didn't catch me SO much but it was a pleasant listen for sure :) |

nice bassline, but your kick is falling away during the intro part when it gets fuller. Nice guitar :) Huh...then it stops all of a sudden in the break, sounds odd. Main melody doesnt grab me and i dont like the synth.
I like the intro, but i dont like the main melo... |

Hey Pho mo,
Nice to hear something from you again. Thanks for reviewing our track.
Okay your track:
build up is kick ass, very powerful and energetic. Stino is right about the kick, it seems to be too soft when all the melodic elements are introduced. Also the melodic elements are a bit too much in the face if you know what I mean.
From the 2.50 minute mark I love the build up, with the bass note changes. Lovely original sound you use for the synth there.
Very nice breakdown, really loving all sounds there. When the beat kicks in again the track does not have the power of the build up. Later during the leadsection you regain some of that power though.
Just one thing that bothers me throughout the whole track is the soundquality. It is muffled and also sharp on the ears. Your eq'ing needs some attention. Besides that, too many sounds are fighting for one place and the whole track sounds pretty small. Some sounds need better stereoimaging.
Overall it would be a smasher of a track if you fixed the soundquality mate, because it is original!
Cheers! |

great track, phill, you know what i think about this one
and similar to what jon said... the melody for the lead doesn't catch my attention.
can't wait to hear the final product :) |

Hey...
I love this kind of really melodic trance... The guitar is nice and I like the way the guitar melody comes for the first time, really nice transition. The flanger works really well in the build up!! Uplifting stuff...!!! Great work, I really enjoyed the track.. the mix could be clearer but itīs nice like this already.

I really like all the sounds at 3:20.. the guitar.. the bass.. the arp.. all sounds really really good
Melody is very epic.. but some-what generic. It's still good, though.
When the guitar comes in at 4:50, it sounds much more like an original composition. Good stuff.
The only problem i would say is the production on the percussion. It's not bad.. just not up to par with today's big productions. |

| I don't know much, and you have lots of support. But it sounds real pretty, but just kind of sits there. But with a little production it would fit right in with the other stuff on radio, so keep it up. |
