Cool! Smart choice hosting GG Canada in Montreal, instead of Toronto, for obvious reasons of course.

I'm sure it'll be as enjoyable as the one in the U.K.

Looks like a road trip!

This looks too much.

I've always wanted to check out one of these huge festivals, hopefully they get the lineup to match what they've done in other countries.

Montreal parties are sooo much fun, as much as I love wemf, I would be all over this if it was the same weekend.

ok i have some answers to some questions in this thread.

This will be a two days event... and during the day only, not stretching thru the night.

It will be held at the Beachclub, 30 minutes outside of Montréal, bring your bikinis and tanning lotion.

I'm sure it will be a modest first edition, every dj is basically in ibiza at that period of the year.

I also belive that 514 prod. won't play a big role in this because its GKs franchise and not the other way arround like Celebration or Swirl for example.

I don't think GK is snobbing Toronto, its club politics ;)

That's a good point, it could go either way, the other summer festivals in the UK(creamfields, original global gathering)still bring in the big names, I know its a lot further away, and a first time festival, but it could happen.

It's not GK snubbing Toronto at all... it's not Toronto officials not allowing it... frankly Toronto clubbers have no one to blame but themselves for snubbing GK last summer.

There was to be a large GK festival at the end of last summer outside at the Docks but with the pathetic turnouts for the events through the summer who would want to take the chance?
Before I get jumped on here I know that promo and lineups could have been better but I just think people should take a deeper look rather than citing city officials being too stiff.

Thousands of people fill the exact same club(s) to see the exact same djs every weekend without giving any thought to giving something new a chance and they wonder why they don't get anything like this in Toronto? No brainer...
