i have a set of vestax pdx-d3 mark2 turntables. (with the joystick and pitch display) - from '99'- before the pdx 2000

im confused.. say if i get the speeds perfect to about a minute of beatmatching, i then re cue up and start the mix. however the speed seams really different once re cued.. then playing with the pitch slider to correct the speed its almost like it makes things worse...:(

i tested the tt's locked at certain speeds (no quartz used) and used my cdj200 to mix into the track on them. everything is fine!!!

its like the moment i play with the slider or platter things go ..

anyone know what is wrong. im going onto pure cd once all my tunes are burned to cd but id like to be able to use my tt's every now and then..

thanks in advance..

i had stanton str8-100s and they did the same thing... i dunno what its wrong... i just blame the quality of the decks to start with... im getting technics soon, so i dont have to worry about that... when it comes to decks i think theres no way other than buying technics...

i think the same also. it just sounds like your TTs are having trouble maintaining their torque

any quick fix?

what do you think the problem is?

pitch control? - these tt's are as accurate as techs, wow and flutter wise. much more accurate than the pdx 2000's and stantons etc.. (when new)

a service per deck is like £40 minimum. so i wanna try and fix em myself..

if its the motor or something then i wont be able to. but if its a easy fixed problem then i might have to service them..

ur tts dont have the strobe markers on the platter do they?
