V Station going back, how about the K Station?

If any of you read my other post asking what VSTi you would recommend, I realised it was a s*** thread, so I deleted it and made this one instead :)

Since I don't really know what softsynth I would get as a replacement for the V Station, I decided to go on ebay and see if there were any K Stations.

Since I have no experience with hardware synths at all I was just wondering whether it would be just a case of plugging the relevant cables from the PC into the synth and then working more or less the same as I was with v station. Or if there's a lot more that I've no idea about and I shouldn't waste my money!

i have an A-Station, its the rackmount K-Station basically. It is most- excellent.

However i dont know what kind of interface you are using... You would need midi out to the synth, and 2 1/4 mono inputs to the computer. You would be editing patches hopefully mostly with actual knobs.

For me, hardware is money well spent.

Do many people here on TA own an A-Station or K-Station, might be good to pick one up second hand since its only a few hundread dollars.
Maybe some samples of what it can do would be nice.

the a station is only about $220 and it is a very powerful synth.
