So we found out today at 2pm PST that the franchise company I work for was sold to International. I'm so bummed because I'm the office manager and my job isn't at corporate restaurants. July is the time when we all should be moved over, but I don't know when my position is going to get the ax :(.

Red Robin buying 13 state restaurants for $42M

The Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. restaurant chain said it's buying the 13 franchised restaurants in Western Washington from Great Western Dining for $42 million.
Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Red Robin (NASDAQ: RRGB - News) owns 18 other restaurants in the state.
Great Western Dining, founded in 1981 by Marc Zanner and Dick Radloff, also operates 30 Papa John's pizza stores in Washington and Oregon. Its Washington Red Robin restaurants are located in Tukwila, Tacoma, Vancouver (two), Federal Way, Silverdale, Olympia, Kent, Bellingham, Skagit Valley, Puyallup, Des Moines and Auburn. The 13 restaurants generated $55 million in revenue last year, Red Robin said.

| Yah, but now work is just counting down the days until I'm no longer in charge of the office. That's so depressing, it's like knowing when your gonna die. Nothing you can do to change it, but it's going to come in a few months. |

This is perfect! You can just slack off at work and get paid to look for another job :haha:

looking for a job is such a bitch, especially when you put in so much work at one company to move up and it all gets sloshed down the toilet with a few movements of a pen. |

Tell me about it.. At least you get to do that while you are STILL WORKING and STILL GETTING A PAY CHECK! ;)
I put over 2 years and a load of hours in a Vet clinc and I got the ax no notice no nada.. just turn your keys and go. :(
Oh well... what can I do.. Find a better job with higher pay and less hours!:disbelief |
