Something im working on called Zebra Heaven. Its just a rough sketch but do you think it needs something? Different sound, or take something out?

Taking a listen to the song right now...I think the lead needs a stronger sound.

I like it. I let it repeat like 5 times yesterday, so I guess that's good.

I think it could use a funky bass-line. 'ATB - Til I Come' style.

The killer kick drum left me wanting something more tonic between the beats.

[edit]

I don't think the "lead" should get an upgrade. It has character the way it is. If you need a stronger lead, I'd slowly implement a new instrument... maybe just a varied version of what you have, so as not to add too much to the mix, but it has some tension the way it is now.

I think with the addition of a harder bassline, somewhere near the end of what you have up now and just a smooth arpy lead would have a nice feel to it. If not arpy, just some chorded progression to go with the pads, but the song has such a smooth attitude, I wouldn't want to fk it up with something crazy.

I think the song basically sounds really good but the 'lead' for sure is too weak and needs to be redone.

By the way how exactly did you create the filter effect?

Do you mean the filter effect on the lead?

What did you do for that first guitarish sound? The cool leadish sound too?
