We have Major corporations executives committing suicide (today enron executive kills himself). India is testing nuclear weapons off the coast for a possible nuclear war with pakistan. We have suicide bombers in israel blowing up themselves in malls. We having a huge recession and major companies like KMART filing bankruptcy. Damn!....whats yall take on this ?

I guess the world has its ups and downs. Think about how everybody felt during the black plague in Europe, they all thought the world was going to end but it never did. I've heard that the recession is coming to an end, as for the other stuff I don't know but hopefully it will all be fine.:)

Things like this go on all the time.
We just live in a world that's more connected and today's media doesn't help.
I don't subscribe to cable TV (6-7yrs now) or read newspapers for that very reason. The world is negative enough without me having to read about it.
I figure if 'it' gets bad enough, someone will tell me...

is there anything wrong with whats happening? ok..so the bomber thing is kinda bad...but other than that, what is wrong with a company not being able to cut it in competition? Wal mart and Target stole K-marts buisness. 10 years ago, k mart owned it. then wal mart and target came and did a better job...so whats so bad about k-mart going down? I see no problem with it. So an exec killed himself? and the problem is?

and i dont think that india and pakistan will actually launch nukes @ each other. and if they do..well I dont live in india or pakistan. and just think. Soo many less people that world hunger has to worry about!

It's unfortunate but this is reality......groups don't like each other and they cannot mediate their problems and they go to killing other and resorting to violence. It's the changing face of our world today.

i agree, this doesn't seem like such bad news. A crooked Enron executive kills himself - this is a bad thing? Apparently he felt so guilty about what he has done that he saw no other way out. If only the other Enron executives would do the same!

Things could be much much worse ie. War, a new disease, or more large scale terrorist attacks by religious extremists.

sum things to keep in mind:

1:the media and the press will only report sensational stuff...u wouldn't buy a newspaper or watch the news if the headlines went sumting like "the dog bit the man!!"...but u would if it said "man bites dog!!" (by the way, that _has_ really happened)...so sumtimes u mite feel like this world is gonna explode...thats when u need to turn off the TV, put away the newspaper and blast sum trance :D

2:india isn't testing nuclear weapons off the coast, it was merely an intermediate range missile *capable* of carrying a nuclear warhead...theres a big difference

3:the enron exec commiting suicide...what about all the other suicides taking place each day? the ones u dont hear about? how come the world doesn't end then?? LOL

4:kmart declaring bankcruptcy...big deal.

5:the israeli suicide bomber...i know it sucks, but these days that has become kinda weekly news...so im not surprised.

while i agree that things aren't all rosy and nice, also there are many serious issues to be resolved, i think u're overreacting to the events u stated :D

so chill!

peace
