Prove that all Scooter tracks are rips - or at least two.

Here, are two samples of Scooter tracks. They're both new... and most of their new stuff tends to be ripoffs.

But I claim these two are not. SYSTEM-J happens to say one could universally say Scooter only make ripoffs (now).

So check these out and say if you recognize them from some originals.

One of them is 100% a rip-off of James Horner's score of Bravheart. I've not heard the other, but seeing as it's Scooter the Law of Probability tells me it's a plagarisation too.

EDIT: The bastard didn't upload the Bravheart track apparently. It's what started this discussion off.

Oh my GOD that Whiteroom rip is obvious.

I blame it on me only having heard Whiteroom once. :o

yeah but whiteroom is a rip off of BT - Remember. the vocals anyway. so technically its a rip off of a rip off which makes it normal! :p

the fact that they used the vocals in that way, doesnt make it a ripoff.

Did they chop them up or reverse them or something? I notice that nobody ever bitches about Orbital ripping off Opus III or the FSOL and Dead Can Dance.

Ripping off as a term is used way too loosely nowadays.. everyone aren't really ripping off someone and something else like you people make it to be. In most cases there are permissions to use the samples or melodies which makes it not to rip off anymore. Not that i'm defending Scooter or anything because they suck the hairiest donkey balls nowadays but it would be very unlikely that they would still be around if for all these years they'd been ripping off all those artists without any permission (besides the couple well known exceptions which have been settled already). It was just one of their main ideas from day one to make rather funny versions of others' tracks and at the same time have the ability to laugh at themselves for doing so.

As for Orbital's Halcyon, Kirsty Hawkshaw was originally meant to perform as a vocalist on Halcyon with totally different lyrics because the Hartnoll bros. had been asking her a long time to come to sing in their studio but she was too busy with Opus III at the time so she lended the vocal parts of It's A Fine Day to them instead.
