takin TO by storm: the whole 'bottle service' House music scene (pg. 2)

"bottle service" is very common here in greece. regular clubs usually sell bottles for around 50-60 euros and considering a drink will set you back around 8-10 euro, its worth it. Actually i believe that if you have 4 people in your group you have to get at least 1 bottle.

does it surprise anyone as well that more clubs are introducing house music into their weekly repetoire with this concept?

if ur Manzone and Strong u must be laughing right now at all the potential gigs coming ur way ..

I can't say that I have taken advantage of bottle service here but I have done it in England.

Ministry of Sound has the best set up. Table service goes by the person. You pay a reduced admission and then you have to guarantee that each person will spend 30pds.

It gives you express entry.. and when we did it for Morillo last year it was well worth it. All lines went around the building and it would have been at least an hour to get in.. You get a table with waitress to yourself and access to the entire club.

I think that the TO scene has some work to do to improve table service because when done right it can make the night much more enjoyable.

most bottle service in toronto is cover included. Its acutally pretty good if you get a group.

Usually you get 5 free covers (or more), ($10-$20 each) plus 26 shots (usually run $5-$8 seperately) a private table, plus full personalized service all night for around $200.

Not a bad deal at all if you ask me!

In fact bottle and table service is what the "guest list" is usually reserved exclusively for in other countries. Usually if you are on a VIP list for a club at another country, its because you are spending MORE money and deserve to be treated accordingly as opposes to the reverse welfare list system that we employ in toronto.

usually the clubs i go to i dont pay cover or pay not more than 5-10bucks
if you bring 5+ people with you one 225$ bottle of Stolichnaia won't last you more than 20minutes, that means you have to sit the rest of the night out or get another bottle, especially if you bring some girls with you you dont wanna look like a cheap so you order more, plus tips for the waitress etc.. so no it doesnt work out well. This is only done on a special occasion.
Last night i was at a vip booth and this guy kept ordering bottles of vodka, he got like 4 and they couldN'T even finish the last one because the clubs closed at 2:30
conclusion - waste of money for rich "guidos"

well i dont do it to look cool... i do it to save a bit of cash and get the benefits. If you are so worried about what other people think you will never have a good time at a club. and if you dont get your fair share of a 26er then you have issues with your greedy friends :)

and you wont see many international acts for $5- or $10 let alone locals.
