Judge Jules in Detroit @ Envy Night Club (pg. 3)

| Jules was great back in 99 but i was at some of the shows with djarecebo and unless you want to hear some lame sampling (i.e. Austin Powers sampled 5 times last show) over played out tracks I would advise you not to go. Nothing personal to Jules he was solid back back back in the day. |

ROB TURNER: Remember when you first came to the D, i told you about this really negative site called www.detroitluv.com, and we discussed how pathetic it was to always be so negative,and smartass.... i chose to get your attention here because i know you know what im sayin' Tranceaddict, much to my surprise is starting to reflect those same frustrating ways...hope its not a permament thing around here.... |

The D still has my support, and will get nothing but support from me... I can't speak or post for anyone else.
And I stand by what I said, this is going to be a killer night for Detroit, and any fan of Jules who misses him at this venue will most definitely regret it! Hope this goes off well!

Not trying to be negative or smartass just informing. I was a big supporter of the judge from 1999 to 2000 so all noobs should probably go to take in the legend. I always will support Detroit but do not confuse criticism with negativity. It's a huge accomplishment for Envy to obtain a Radio 1 dj and long may it continue. Who cares what I say anyway i'm probably still going :happy2:
I also encourage any aspiring djs to work more behind the decks rather than preach from soap boxes on forums designed for open discussion. |

I just have my opinions on the judge, and I'm entitled to them. I knew I was bringing negativity into the thread, but even though I have nothing good to say, I am still allowed to express those opinions. For all I know he may put on something amazing, be it an act of divine intervention, I'm just speaking from experience that he's been a perpetual disappointment for me, I've given him multiple chances to live up to his previous hype and he's dont nothing of value. I'd just like to give a heads up to people who plan on going, and hell, even to the judge himself. A dj such as jules will never improve and regain the previous respect i have had for him by only recieving positive feedback. I'm in no way trying to deter people from the show. He may just be your cup of tea.
Marcus: A few trivial posts about the judge by a select few individuals cannot be seen as representative of the tranceaddict forums as a whole, although the trend does occur (mostly in jest). but I dont think it warrants a greater than standard text size and multiple colors, those should be reserved for OMFGWTFBBQs PLOWH4X only. Btw never got to thank you for gettin my friends into Bleu on NYE before midnight, we waited in that line for hours and with your help we all got in on time. Thanks! |

For the record m8, TA, Detroit, and DCS (Heh, I guess that's a no brainer tho) really DO appreciate all the work you put into promotion and staying positive, and just because sometimes folks may go off on a tangeant or say something about too many threads, doesn't mean you should ever stop keeping us up on Detroit events... I wouldn't have ever met some damn cool people, yourself included, if you didn't promote here... :) |
