Just banged out this puppy over the course of 2 days or so.
It's not complete. But I was wondering if there's any elements I could change or not. I think im going to add a lead that would start to filter in around: 2:31

Wrzonance - Were I Go (in progress)
3:57, 192kbps mp3 140 BPM
edit: tools used
impOSCar
AR Bassline (obvious)
tabala and shaker samples
909 kit
SideKickV3
I was going for simplicity. sort of progressive in a sense. but im going to add a good lead line and then vary up the bassline. |

I like the acid line. Tight .
You need more of a bassline than the AR for psy. At least bost the bass. Psy is all about the bass, and you currently have no major low end presence other than the kick.
Composition is alright so far. You on your way to a really nifty psy track, I'd say. |

thanks jax, im not sure what to do though.
That bassline is "decent" But what im thinking, is maybe add a subbass and maybe bring the ARBL up an octave?
Or should I make the ARBL go down an octave and add something else for a mid-range bass? |

Hey,
LOL at that synth at the begin man, the intro it is weird dude, not very usual in psy imo, the bass is not really Psy though plus the BPM does sound slow dunno why, nice sliced synth.
In overall, it is something interesting to listen to, but does not sound pys at all to me, the beat is too slow, the bass line is not really psy neither, few fx, i does sound kinda empty but it's something interesting to listen to, the second part sounds more psy :):
Keep it up ;).

Interesting start,
like the percussion and the background sounds...weird and good, cool and driving. Great atmosphere, awesome unique bass. I like it because it's relaxing and rhythmic at the same time. The progression just doesn't stop, you should continue working on this and start adding melodies and arps, it would sound amazing.
Cheers

Its a pretty decent attempt and the second half has that more minimal psy-prog sound for sure. Take the bass down an octave or two and compress it with the kick on the same channel. Dont add a sub bass if your trying to get a psy-gressive bass. You need to get them rolling and flowing together as one unit, not as separate elements. Theres a lot of noise on that snare too. I'd try using a different sample, or EQing it to remove the hiss.
Nice work though, you've managed to capture that very contemporary psy-prog sound. |

Psy-trance? No...
A combination of progressive trance, minimal, soft-tech, and some psy elements... sure.
I like the samples, and some of the tribal-sounding ideas.
THe tempo is slow. Somehow I feel like In on a brisk Safari, and things are half machine everywhere I go on jungle-plains. |

Yea agreed. That bassline isn't very rolling yet. Or very psy. I think I want to progress it into something rolling. I'm almost at the point where. I'll finish this track as is. And then remix it into a faster more rolling psy track.
Im definately going to add some kind of lead.
Thanks all for you comments and suggestions. And the tempo is at 140. Which I wouldn't consider slow neccisarily, but the groove of the track (bassline and percs) give it a slow feel. Maybe I'll bump it up a couple of notches. See what happens.
Hmmm. I'm at my folks house now. But I'll continue on it later on tonight or tommorow.
Thanks again.
