| I think I am going to road trip to this event from Pittsburgh. Are there any cheap hotels in the area? Cause I really dont feel like sleeping in my car :( |

you don't need to defend doombot.. and i don't need to assume u love glow... that was my response to him for randomly intervening in a justified one word question: "source?" as someobody who does not know you. you have answered my question with what u said above... i simply wanted to know where this idea came from that pvd was coming to glow again because i found it surprising. you have already answered it so let's leave this random doombot part of the conversation aside, thanks.
edit - since the thread you found this info in has been deleted as you say then this information is not relevant anymore...deletion of thread could easily mean falling through of said plans... unless you see confirmation from moutso or someone reliable at glow or pvd's reps. |

| i didn't go to opening night (thank god), so thankfully i missed all the horror. if pvd does go back to glow, i wouldn't go just because i don't like pvd. that's just the news that was passed to me.. |

we drive there and drive back right after the party if we don't crash at a friend's place. we stayed in a hotel only once and got a really good rate through travelzoo. ;) |

DC is the last place you want to be in after 3am. Better book a hotel on your way back home - like somewhere in Frederick, MD. It's about 1 hour away and will be much cheaper than DC (and less dangerous).
Nation is a decent venue but neighborhood is rather scary. Lots of rather shady characters hanging around. We got robbed there once - it was not much, $20 - but still... not a fun experience.
p.s. any cheap hotels in DC will be your typical " hotels".
If you want to grab a hotel on the drive home, you may want to consider heading west on Route 7, towards Leesburg and getting a Best Western or smth similar there. You can then hop on Route 15 North to get a nice scenic drive through Virginia into PA. Or Continue North-West through West Virginia - very soothing to see mountains after had night partying. ;) tho, now, with all trees still being bare - it's not that scenic yet. :)
If you want to drive as little as possible, north or west of DC there are bunch of upscale neighborhoods and not as grimy as DC itself - definitely worth the 45 minutes drive. The closest parts I'd recommend looking for hotels in Arlington, VA or Silver Spring, MD. Unless your hotel budget is $200/night+. |
