My Horrible Monday

Now that Monday is officially over I can post about how bad it actually was. I hope everybody's was way better than mine.
Here we go:
I'll go back a bit for some background:
Saturday night went to guv, partied till around 2ish on sunday. Went home and decided that I was going to attend an open house for a 3D game company in ottawa called Fuel Industries. After deciding that I was going I started working on a webpage to showcase my portfolio, instead of making a film that will get thrown in a stack, and get lost. Spent WAY too much time on photoshop and imageReady making it look perfect, only to find out that with my rogers internet my server space is a mere 15mb. WTF IS THAT???? So I stay up till 3am making it nice, and work properly with images that took a leap downwards in quality so everything would fit.
Got up at 6am and got my roomate who was also supposed to attend the open house. My roomate bails on me, and goes back to bed as I am getting dressed. Since it's an interview I put on dress pants, shoes, shirt tie etc. Walk outside and of course it's PISSING rain. Get almost to bowmanville when my car decides that it doesn't like the rain anymore and stalls on the highway. One of it's *quirks* is that once in a while water will get into the distributor, and the sparkplugs wont fire. So I'm stuck on the side of the road at 8am in pouring rain in dress clothes. I then had to get out in the rain and pull off the spark plug wires one by one, trying to dry out the contacts, and spray them with WD-40. After about 30 mins of working in the wet AND oil all over my hands, still in dress clothes mind you, I get back in the car. She starts up fine, and i'm off again. Stopped to get breakfast, and then a sub right after bc I havn't eaten since saturday at around noon. Got gas, and tried to buy smokes, but they were out of king size, so I had to get regulars. Cost $42. I'm still soaking wet, so I go to the mall to get someting to wear, so I'm not drenched at the interview. Buy a pair of jeans, boxers, and socks. Total cost $120. Headed back on the road, and hit ottawa at around 1:30pm
Interview went pretty well, although it was only like 45 minutes long. I then proceed to try to find a cheap hotel, because if your keeping track my roomate was supposed to come and drive back so I could actually sleep. He was also supposed to give me gas money.
So I'm trying to find a cheap hotel in ottawa....yeah not happening. I tried the Comfort Inn...yeah they wanted $235 per F*ING NIGHT. I end up in Nepean at "Monterey Inn" for $108 per night....the cheapest around that I could find.
I get to my room, it's pretty nice & it's clean so i'm alright with the price. Not 2 minutes after I sign into MSN a friend from highschool adds me (havn't talked to him forever) and goes "YOUR IN OTTAWA!!! dude, I live in ottawa now, you can stay at my house tonight. Find out he lives a block and a half away from where I'm staying, and that I cant get my money back.
What topped it all off, and made me want to post this, is that after all that I just went to get a glass of water from the tap, and the water is the WORST tasting water ever.
I have now been up for 48 hours with a 3 hour nap, where I barely slept because I was stressing about the interview. I've spent $270 FOR A 45 MINUTE INTERVIEW and still need to fill my car again tomorrow for the drive home......and i'm thirsty.

| if you put a condom, non-lubricated, or surgical glove over and around your distributor, poking your contacts thru it should cure your water/stalling problem. ruff day indeed. |

OH! I forgot that part, we were supposed to go to his house to smoke a bowl and watch Sopranos, but he bailed on me for his gf. Gehy.
