cool. thanks for keeping us posted. The way you guys have been running them recently, I'm definatly flying back in for this!

WEMF vs GG? Sorry but wemf is about more than just the tunes... although the tunes are always the highlight of my summer. Each year I get one party where 90%+ of my party/music related friends show up and get to chill and rock out for a full three days of bliss. I can't imagine trading that weekend for another. While I'm sure you would have a good time at Globabl Gathering, you can't beat the camping and chilling vibe that is saturday afternoon at wemf.

well said, although the wemf lineup is usually pretty decent, and i see no reason why this year will be different...

i never thought about saturday afternoon as a highlite, but you are totally right. the vibe on saturday is great. friday is a nice warm up day, then saturday you see more and more people arriving and things just get going from there. you ever take notice the difference walking around the area just outside the stages on friday compared to saturday. the vibe in the air is just so...elevated. probably the best word i could think of describe it, but y'all know..

bottom line, pretty hard to match the wemf vibe. and its there from the moment you show, until the moment you pull out the gates

Okay, off you go. Work! Work!

:p

Let's keep it on topic. How far is the location for WEFM from Toronto? Admission? All that good stuff.

depends on the location..usually an hour or two..but will be very acessiable from TO..especially with all the TAs driving from TO.

Not quite sure what the ticket price is? 70ish early birds? a 100ish later on i think??

Very pricey, but from what I understand, it's a 2-3 day long event, right?

Or in our case the whole drive home too! :D

I think early birds were 65$ last year and then went up to 85$?
Not 100% sure but I don't recall prices ever being actually all the way up to 100$ except maybe at the gates or something.

You can get passes for just 2 days instead of 3 too. And it's definatly worth the cost.

Yeah, some people have the strange notion that Marco V at Guv is better than one night of WEMF:conf: :conf:

(Marco V is ALWAYS put opposite of WEMF for that exact reason, to try and draw the crowd that's not @ WEMF...idiots  :p )

THe only reason I could go for Saturday/Sunday is b/c Josh had to work until 2pm on Saturday and then again at 3pm on Sunday...so we made a quick 24 hr trip! It was still great none the less. Hopefully this year we'll make it for the full thign!
shanny
yes...
I believe I should get a little credit for the mission that took place that weekend.

I worked saturday from 630 am-230 pm, then drove 4 hours to orangeville, partied with all you people from 7 pm-10 am the next morning, then drove right back, 4 hours to windsor, and worked from 3 -11 pm.

And to top it all off, in the car, we had no radio, and no air conditioning, and my comapanion, (cough##Lisa) fell asleep, leaving me all to my lonesome, getting sunburned, sketching out by myself.

What a nightmare.
But still worth it.
