Thats my age. I used to play to "Death and "Dark" Metal When I was most your ages I loved the agresive speed and POUNDING.
Trance Music has become My music now!!!!!! It is a music that nobody likes Yet I will still playu it as LOUD as it goes!!!
My Fav DJ now Hass to be Johan Gielen. This guy has become a SUPERPOWER in the last couple months. I always loved Yohan |

hey pattp!
i still listen to death/dark/black/powermetal....there somethign wrong with this music? ..it can be very melodic, and its good in my opinion...
but it dostn matter, i sold my soul to the trance demon along time ago=) ..trance is my #1 passion right now.
and i have no favorite dj, its to hard to have one favorite dj in my opinion, becasue almost all of them are so damn awesome.

| yeeeh, I remember the late 80-s... I used to love that melodic and powerfull death-metal :-) Those guys really knew how to play guitars what I cannot say about new generation rock-bands |

hmm I guess we all have something in common
I grew up on 80's rock and heavy metal although I enjoyed mostly melodic guitar solos
then in 1999 I made the transition

| talking about guitars... Apart from being a DJ I also play the guitar (people say, I'm really good:-), and my alltime favorite guitarist is Ritchie Blackmore in the early 70ties (remember Deep Purple, you, old tymers?) I cannot consider myself to be very old (turning 19 this April:+), but trying to embrace every life branch (and listening to a lot of artists in every kind of music), I can tell, that now I can hardly find a really good-playing guitarist. The only real pro on my mind is Kirk Hammet. He has incredible technique, but I cannot say the same thing about the differece in his solos - all of them are the same... And for the rest of them (lead players), none them is capable ,with all the FX processors and pedals, to do what Jimmy and Ritchie did in 60ties-70ties... Do you think DJing and dance culture have the same fate - in 30 years people won't be able to do with all the technology innovations what Oakenfold can do today? |
