I do it because the sound quality is brilliant compared to other headphones. I never get any stupid looks, just OMG THOSE HEADPHONES RULE!!! (I have Sony MDR-V700s)

Opinions are like s, everyone has one. Don't worry about what other people think, if you want to wear studio headphones out b/c they sound better or whatever other reason, just do it. Live your life for you, not for other people.
