Yes a little progressive style remix i did a while back for the lovely Hydra-Affinity melody by the thrillseekers, was just going through my soundfiles and found it sounded quite nice totally forgot that i remixed it :haha:. Defintely has a spring-time atomsphere anyhow its great ipod playlist material for those sunny warm spring days ahead of us !

wuts up jay... i checked it out.
it was a pretty chill remix... but i kinda wish there was a bit more of a build somewhere. just so the track reaches some sort of climax at some point or another. but thats really just more personal preference anyways... good remix |

whatup high lee, thanks for your feedback
yeah i tried to stay simple with it , not trying to get too crazy with a buildup. The structure of the tune is actually backwards. I start with the peak melody and then end with what should of been an intro of a normal remix. The most buildup effects this remix gets is in the middle breakdown where the melody completely disapears and its just the wind/pad zoom effect thingie then back to the main melody. Just a quick & simple remix expressing the quality melody the thrillseakers wrote, at a slower bpm w/ housey elements. |

The best part of this song is the beat at the end, like -1 min mark. I can imagine it being layered with something really fun and funky. That being said i'd play with the timing a bit to give the beat some more style.
Sorry to say this, but the lead synth with this melody just sounds weak. The Affinity melody is a calming chain of notes and just doesn't work well with something this sharp and annoying. Sounds like when compared to the thrillseekers version. |

Yeah i made a whole other original track with the same elements besides the melody and that synth u know -1 , its probably tech house or progressive tech whatever u wanna call it. Like i said i did this remix quick, probably within an hour. I wouldnt want to compare my subtractor patch "Sweeping Lead" with whatever the thrillseakers might have used but im glad you thought it was ! :happy2:
Thanks for your honest feedback |
