for me, it takes a lot of gaining experience and proper research to turn the dollars in. I put a lot of emphasis on research. Keep track of the tickers, television and news.
if you a day off, track them all and see if you can deal with the fast pace of buying, selling and making decisions in minute long windows. You know, if you want pratice, you can try playing the E-Trade game. It gives you $100,000 of play money and follows the actual stock market. The only real drawback is 10-15 minute delays between putting a trade through. It's free.
edit: oh yes, and steer clear of any Green Means Buy/Red Means Sell programs such as WizeTrade/InvestTools. $3000 can't possibly make you money just by suggesting a color |

Umm buy low sell high.
It doesn't sound like you're that keen on becoming a savvy investor because this is quite possibly the worst place to ask for investment advice. A lot of people make a living on taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities so take my advice and don't think that you can casually match their returns by casually imitating their quantitative work. More likely than not you ARE the arbitrage that they are making money off of. You may hear buzzwords like earnings per share but that's only one-fiftieth of the ratios used by analysts to evaluate companies. Either use financial advisors, a solid mutual fund, or put forth the work that's required to educate yourself otherwise you're just gambling away your money.

Your failure to appear in court was dismissed as grounds for setting a much stiffer sentence. Court papers are being forwarded and you should be prepared to pay up the fines asap or I will beat your arse :happy2: |

| Ivestment banking sure involves a lot of money. My housemate have an internship at Bank of America, and he's getting paid $1200 a week :wtf: |

| Investement banking also involves subhuman work hours, thinkn 18 hour days). Your buddy must haev a pretty sick internship then, I have never heard of such a high paying internship, especially with Bank of America. He is basically getting a starter salary so either hes just the luckiest guy in the world or I smell bull. |

| If you are still looking for more info pm me your MSN...ignore all the BS guys being condescending esp mr. arbitrage....no retail investor can ever take advantage of arbitrage and that's so finance 101....lol and making money from small price descrepancies is not exactly what you were looking for anyways...Long term investing is the way to go! |
