Here is a little sample of this tune I've been playing around lately. It's far from being completed but you'll get the idea.

Listening,

The sample is coming along. The square synth is pretty cool but could use some more effects. Bassline is too simple for me. Unless you're going for a chillout type of feel, it should be more pumping/driving.

Melody wise...it's ok. Not necessarily my cup of tea but it still works.

yes, more pumping and driving.. layer those drums.. it will add a good kick to your track. keep at it I like it

Square is good, melody is kinda random. Bassline is ok but could be alot better. Percussion is preaty weak, needs more drive. That synth fx you used is good.

keep it up ;)

I dont listen to prog much (cause i think its crap) but it sounds fairly pro i guess. The percussions REALLY need to be beefed up, like theres no congos and what not atm, probably a good idea to add some. Also needs more layers in general, its too empty sounding :D

Also, might want to compress the kick + bass or sidechain or something so the bassline isnt so stagnant. I like the direction of the melody but a few notes in there sound a bit too random.

Gw, keep it up babe <3

God my post is almost exactly the same as the last guy :S
Hurray for redundancy

Thanks a million for all the constructive feedback. I'm tweaking the melody as we speak to get rid of some of inconsistency, adding some atmospheric pads, ect. BTW, this is my first attempt at programming so I'm still a little overwhelmed but this is truly turning into an addiction. I guess the production bug bit me right in the ass!

sounds like great start to me :D obviously you could layer more parts in as the song moves onto other sections
