Whats the deal with Republik?

| it was such a big deal when it first came out, and is a pretty cool place, but seems like its been 'tucked under the rug.' i know they still have events going on there, but no major headliners, like johan gielen, thrillseekers, JOOF like they've had. i really miss when a typical saturday nite there would be all house. |

| Republik currently has 2 very successful nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Friday being the Edge 102 night & Saturday being the mainstream top 40 night. I would guess that it wouldn't make sense for them to switch their weekend events to underground events. Like the saying goes, don't fix what's not broken... |

saturday is mainly house in the main room. It's more of a commercial feel but as far as mainstream goes its probably the coolest venue in the city (and most energetic). And no im not saying that just because i work there.
Lil Pete tries to keep the hip hop to a minimum too.
I find most clubs these days to be boring. Republik still has the energy of a 90s era megaclub. |
