its 4am and i just got home.
i havent been to viva in about 2-3 years. didnt have a good time that time but tonight i actually had a decent time.
the music was good. maxx played a good opening set and addy just ing killed it. the sound in there is good too. same with the lighting. jay and the other guy did a great job with it.
it is an all ages event with a 19+ licensed area. the crowd is mixed with age (about half 19+ and half minors. i didnt notice much energy from the crowd like i am used to. it was a quiet crowd. no screaming, no whistling. didnt look like they enjoy house music very much. its gonna take some time for them to appreciate it. the crowd is mostly asian and i think it needs to become more diverse for me to totally appreciate it.

i would go back
overall i give it a 7/10
hardcore trancer
Sorry to say this but house music wont work at viva.viva is made for harder music imo.

It's all good man. But honestly, you should check out M.I.K.E..... like Tyler said, if you like EDM, you gotta check him out. He was playing Luke Fair, Nathan Fake, Carl Cox, Valentino Kanzyani, James Holden ect tracks the last time he was here. You can't call that Trance really.

the regular viva crowd isn't that vocal even on hard trance nights like MIKE... it's the nonregular crowd that makes 90% of the noise. don't think the music will make any difference to them. you could say they're in a world of their own. ;)

i agree with u, but i still dont think viva was ever designed for house, not the right crowd/atmosphere

Asians + Bottle Service House = X

viva's crowd is never that vocal regardless of whether its house or trance but they have fun all the same.
