Intel macs and compatibility

hello all, im think im going to wait for the intel power mac to be released but i do have some concerns regarding software compatibility...

i do realize that sequencers (logic, ableton etc) will (and already are) compatible with the intel macs but what about vst effects and instruments from smaller developers?

are there certain ones that will have compatibility issues?

is there a program or patch etc to get around this to make them compatible?

or should i just go for the g5 power mac and risk being out of the loop when a bunch of new stuff gets released for the intel macs exclusively (if that would even be the case...)?

knowledgeable opinions and advice much appreciated

Imagine each manufacture will have to recompile their AU version from Motorola to Intel Chipspeak. Wonder if intel based VSTi version will work with with the vsti-au wraper (joke btw :D )

Humdahumda suppose G5 prices will be plumeting just now :D

it will really be an issue from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some will have written their code so they simply have to recompile it on an intel mac and some will have used specific features from the old cores and will need to recode segments of their plugins or the whole plugins.

i guess the main concern is: WILL they make these necessary changes?

there are some really great products designed by smaller companies that may not make the change...
