[Review] Ferry Corsten @ Avalon Boston 3/17/06 (pg. 2)

| first time in boston since last year and my ears are regretting it, big time!! it's been about 24 hours after ferry got on stage, and my ears are still ringing... this has never happened ever before, ferry was good as usual, but like i said, my ears are regretting it, and at this point, i am too due to that one fact alone... |

| This is my first time in Boston and my first time seeing Ferry. It was ing amazing! I was right next to the front of the stage and I was dancing through the entire set. The crowd and vibe was awesome. The sound was wayyy to loud though. Its Sunday morning and my ears are still ringing very loud. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if I did some ear damage. O well, I had an amazing time! Anyone have pics from the event? |

I had a blast even though I had to leave at 1 :(
I was hoping Ferry would drop a different version of "Fire" the one he played isnt the best one. Its the Flashover remix that he played, the original is way better imho.
It was amazing when the guy introduced Ferry and the beat started playing the crowd went nuts :D
The opening DJ did a good job too, got me to dance ;)
Great night overall, wish I could stay until the end though |

Overall, great night :) Had a blast with the homies, ran into Greggy420 like usual... Ferry dropped all the already listed tunes, and a lotta stuff I didn't really know... and he played WICKED hard for about the last 30-40 mins... and finishing off with punk and rock your body rock was brilliant.. I did request Carte Blanche, but that never made it onto the playlist... He knows what's best and no issues there...

And about the sound... I'm telling y'all.. EARPLUGS are the way to go... they are cheap here (that's where I bought mine) and I think spending $12 to be able to hear better is way worth it given that some drinks cost that much... I just bought these cuz last year, at Montreal's white party, my ears got wrecked... so I took initiative this year to buy these... and have tested them at Avalon (now the 2nd time... first time was deep dish last weekend)... and they work really well... no ringing at ALL!!! I'd recommend them to anyone! |

Cool pics man. You really captured the vibe. That's a funny shirt too man...haha.
Yea about the sound, usually i leave avalon with little to no ringing at all. They have a good system in there, they just screwed up big time with those extra monitor speakers on stage. Earplugs are definately a good investment. I think it's about time I invested in a pair myself. |

| I'm gonna see if I can get some earplugs the next time I go to Avalon. Or maybe I can sneak some chewing gum in (assuming outside food is prohibited). |

Good night over all, nice to see everyone out. First time seeing Ferry and he didnt dissapoint. like everyone else, my ears were ringing for the next 24 hrs...that led to some very interesting conversation:toothless That hard techno at the end was a nice surprise.
btw, what was up with the lighting?? the normal lights on those box-thingys weren't on. and no laser, but that was to be expected. |
