No way! EDM is great and all, but there's a load of excellent music out there. |
very true. outside of country music and all that other deep redneck (except a couple particular artists) i love almost everything. right now i'm listening to a digweed set but its the first electronic thing i've listened to in probably 5 days. been stuck on all those classic 90s alternative rock songs that people my age probably remember from middle school growing up. that and coldplay because im goin to their concert tomorrow night  |

I own more heavy metal albums than EDM.
One minute Ill be listening to Sepultura & then the next it will be Shpongle. Another minute I might put on some Meshuggah and then 'kapoo' I put on some Mr Pecular. I might even be listening to Fatali and change my mind & whack on the ole Master of Puppets or do a barnyard dance with the Hayseed Dixie Hillbilly ACDA tribute album. |

i have some, but they're all from about 6 or 7 years ago, or older, and mostly really cheesy and mainstream. haven't really listened to anything apart from electronic music for a couple years now.
i reckon there might be tons of good stuff out there that isn't EDM, but can't be arsed to go look for it (hell in the past months i pretty much haven't got the patience to go look for any music at all). i actually enjoy a bit of some watered-down metal, say System of A Down for example, but haven't listened to it in ages |

John Squire was the brains behind 'em, you know.
I own a few. I've started buying more recently. For the last few years, I was mostly interested in exploring dance music because it seemed there weren't enough hours in the day or enough pounds in my wallet to hear all the great music out there. But that's a pretty short-sighted attitude, and there are lots of things you just can't find in dance music, no matter how hard you look. I just want to hear great music, and whether or not it uses a beat or a guitar or an orchestra isn't important. |
