GG was one of the sickest festivals I've ever been too. Armin's set was outstanding. S&D played an amazing vocal rock-sounding track about halfway through their set...kinda sounded like The Clash. Not sure..anyone know it?
BTW, my buddy and I snuck backstage as Ferry Corsten was finishing his set and we got to meet Ferry and Armin and got autographs. SIIICK! I love Miami! |

aaaaah.. thats what that song is. I remember hearing a track that sounds very similar to watching cars go by. It has that same instrument, i dn what its called.

Got there right as Crystal Method was finishing up - Honestly I was very confused as to why they are going to have Ultra here this year because this place doesn't seem like can compare to Bayfront Park...But hopfully they'll make it nicer for Ultra...It seemed like GG threw the setup togeather in a few hours <_<
But anyways yea...The music was really good, Jimmy, Sasha and Digggggts and Armin owned the scene, When Ferry came on I was like =o Because he played like straight up Electro pretty much 95% of the set I think - I haven't seen Ferry in a longgggg time, can someone please tell me if he just plays straight up Electro now or he was just feelin that more then usual on Saturday? Or is the usually Ferry set more so Electro then the Trancers now a days? Anyways it'd be cool if someone could answer this because I was thinkin about goin to see him on Thursday and kinda don't want to if it's just gonna be Electro'd.

I agree about Bicentennial Park and how Global Gathering set it up. It wasn't that nice at all. The funny thing is that they started construction the Monday prior and it took them a week. I'm definitely hoping Ultra is set up better. I miss the Amphitheater of Bayfront Park. Did anyone notice that there wasn't THAT many people attending Global Gathering? I looked around during the "peak" of the night and there wasn't a lot of people... at the rock stage, yes there was a lot of people, but I am expecting twice or three times as many people total attending Ultra than Global Gathering *hopefully* ... I have to admit though it was nice to have room to dance, and with Ultra it's going to be a lot more limited.

His style of music has always had an electro feel to it (since his artist album). In my opinion thats what makes him so creative. By the way, towards the end of his set, I believe he played a good 3 or 4 tracks that will be on his upcoming album L.E.F. on May 22nd. After hearing him play that one: "woman you better watch out" track and "L.E.F." i'm psyched buy that cd when it comes out, it's gonna be siiiick! |

Honestly it's about that time I say STFU & post pics...
I passed by there when I was leaving South Beach...when I saw the carnival rides I was like :wtf: but I did hear some good loud music.
