I'm gonna have to give a totally biased opinion since I haven't been clubbing outside of the US. So my top choices are:
Giant (LA)
Spundae (LA and SF)
Twilo (NY) *RIP!* |

| Ima add the guvernment/the koolhaus........it may not be the greatest clubs in certain ppl's opinions but it is normally where big name deejays show up in toronto. So i'd put it on my top 10 list anyday. |

well, since techincally i'm club land sheltered, i'll go with the top clubs i've been to:
1) 1015 - esp release, always bringing in the best talent and i've met the coolest people there
2) Giant - always fun going there with my LA friends.
3) Crobar (chicago) - had a great house DJ when i was there and it was halloween, the atmosphere was great and i got to dance with the bride of frankenstein.
4) Axis (Boston) John Debo was on the night I was there. And where else could I fall of the stage while dancing three times after the bouncer said "Next time, you're out of here" and still be allowed to stay - thanks to the convicing my friend, shelly, did for the bouncer (nothing sick there guys)
5) Insomnia (LA) - got lost on the way to this one and drove through watts and compton. great local talent there though
6) Groove (pittsburgh) - bring in good talent and highlight local talent as well. decent venue (could be better) and decent people. even if it's a jungle / DnB based city. |

Well Oakenfold DID say Zouk is the best club in the world because of the way the crowd responds to their knowledge of music, although I'd beg to differ. He obviously hasn't seen how crowds build up outside Zouk on Wednesdays.. |
ouch. mambo jambo nights...
i think people should had left retro fever back in the 80s, if not 90s. |
