I may have just been in the wrong places, but when I went to China, all the clubs my friends and I tried were terrible. (That is, if you're looking for dancing. There are some ing high end karaoke places in China. I bet they're owned by unseemly characters, too.)
There was one place that I didn't go to (I was ing tired of going to boring places and being hit on by drunk guys [I'm not ting you]), but a friend of mine went to a place called Banana in Beijing (I don't remember the characters) where they were playing something resembling club dance. (My friend couldn't identify it precisely, being a preppy Hip Hop sheep [he's a cool guy, though].) The people there apparently all dance funny (but again, that's my friend's judgement).
The funny thing was, I was 17 at the time, but since I was white, they really didn't give a damn, and my friends and I got really nice places to sit, if the entertainment was lacking.
If you're in Beijing, though, one experience you shouldn't pass up is Afunti. It's actually a dinner place that serves Western Chinese food with live entertainmen (hot asian dancers, the occasional crowd involvement game, etc). The night culminates in people getting up on the tables and dancing to various forms of club trance. They actually played some decent . I was impressed. That place is fun as hell.
So if you can find your way through that parenthetical maze, good luck in your search. I hope you find a better time than I did. :/ |

big names do come occasionally, last time I checked Deep Dish, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha and Digweed were in the area, but someone I managed to missed them all:nervous: |

Thanx to the people replying to my questions :crazy:
There's about 18 in my group (assuming we all get through the first 2 years of this degree), who will be going to China. We get to choose between Shanghai and Beijing but 99% of us are leaning towards Shanghai, as we keep being told the nightlife etc is better, and it just looks soooooo amazing on photos/film :eek:
Will still visit the Forbidden City in Beijing etc though...
I'm trying to make contact with club promoters n and try to start my own techno night there or get some gigs or somethin (bit of a mad idea seen as I'm suppose to be studying but oh well haha) |

Yeah seeing how their language is completely different from one another it is a lot more different than european countries, who have romantic languages & share the same grammar. I took a linguistics course and I speak Japanese. |

I didn't say all of Asia is poor, and if it seemed like I meant that than it's my bad. But a lot of asian girls would be happily marry a european/american guy just to get da hell outta there. And yeah Japan, South Korea and Malaysia have pretty high standard of living indeed, but those are the only rich asian countries. I think most of you don't even a clue what a poor country China actually is since newspapers don't have the freedom to write whatever they want.
And though Japan isn't poor, japanese girls still have the hots for 'white' guys in general :wtf: |
