on a serious note from me:
-I have broken my nose three times. once playing full contact ultimate frisbe, once playing rugby and once catching a spinning hook kick square on the face in a martial arts comp. The first time was the worst pain of my life, they hurt less after that one. I have never had a nose bleed until the last one... he got me real good! (I have broken lots of other things and even spent a year in rehab after my shoulder got torn)
-I had chick pox three times. The frist time wasn't bad. The second time was real bad when my new sister got it. and the last time was pretty bad aswell and I got it from some kid at school. ages 3,5 and 6. I have avoided people with chickpox ever since.
My uncle also had it three times.
-I was born in Ottawa, but now don't know where I'm from. Kinda NYC, but I tell everyone Canada still. I've spent most of my time in Canada, but not in one place.
-I don't like all inclusive resorts.
-I have been to mardi gras three years in a row now.

twice is bad. and one of my times wasn't bad at all so I can't claim anymore sympathy than you for having them twice.

- as a little girl i drank pure cow's milk from the neighbours (eeugh)

- i had a shetland pony with bley eyes and her name was lotti

- when i was 6 i was almost trampled by one of our horses while she was pulling me by a rope that was accidentally wrapped around my wrist

- when i was 4 i was awarded a medal by our mayor for being the fastest runner; 'i stole the key to the town and the whole town was running after me but they couldn't catch me b/c i was too fast!' haha! :P ...i'm known to be called 'speedy'. *Riiiich-iiieee* :D

- i got a rabbit from a secret admirer in grade 2 - soon after the neighbour rabbit mated mine and we had thousands in our courtyard!

- when i was 7, on christmas eve our german sheppard went crazy barking and my dad opened the door to a huge buck staring him in the eye

- we immigrated to canada when i was 9 and i lived in the vast prairies of southern manitoba for 4 years

- i've seen the northern lights

- had my own dirtbike when i was 10

- b/c nobody could pronounce my name in canada i was called 'silky'

- i danced for the royal winnipeg ballett and made it to the professional ballerina try-outs

- moved away from home when i was 13 and attended boarding schools in canada and germany

- lived in a classical humanistic catholic monastery (which is the second home to the current pope benedict) from ages 13-21 where i learned latin for 8 years and ancient greek for 4 years; i have played the piano since i was 4 (only classical)

- i was a glider pilot for 4 years in germany

- after never being taught about WWII in school in germany, i conducted a year-long research project for grade 12 on the holocaust where i lived and interacted with the winnipeg jewish community and holocaust survivors

- due to this, i began studying international relations and politics at the university of bc which lead me to become an international human rights lawyer in the UK and with the UN in geneva

- i have worked for the UN and have witnessed the signing of the agreement b/w milosevic and the high commissioner for human rights, at the time the former irish president, mary robinson, to allow an unprecedented UN presence in kosovo which would reveal some of the most gross human rights violations in history.

- i have climbed parts of the rockies telemarking and camped in the snow barely escaping an avalanche.

- i have worked with the police authorities of tajikistan to help their gov't implement a juvenile and restorative justice system & have received a toy camel & a tajiki hat for women as a present in return

- i was in a car accident when i was 20 where i went through the windshield with my forehead; no insuries except a compeletely mangled forehead where i needed 33 stiches but luckily no plastic surgery. you can barely notice it today. my guardian angel was watching over me that day!

- i had an ectopic pregnancy where my life was at risk and i could have bled to death not knowing it.

- i have the same birthmark as my dad on the tip of my butt. according to traditional 'legend', descendants of chingis khan every mongolian has this mark.

- i can wiggle my ears and two of my toes are cojoined at the bottom making me look like donald duck but a good swimmer! hehe! ;)

- i have always had a tremendous amount of interest in spirituality & connection to nature; i believe i have lived during the times of the crusades somewhere as a recluse and healer. perhaps even as a 'witch'? :P

- i have never broken a bone just snapped the tendants in my ankles a couple of times playing european handball and competitive volleyball preventing me from ever dancing with pointshoes again

- i chipped a tooth rollerblading

- i like to sleep in stables with the horses, run through meadows and forests in the summer and swim in the clear lakes of the alps (when i make it back home once in a blue moon).

- before i die, i'd like to walk the spanish road to santiago de compostela, see the pyramids, visit the ruins of the mayans and incas and experience many more of the wonders of this earth ...

- i hate tv

- but i love electronic music & grass! hihi! :happy2:
