Review: Prodigy Live + Adam Freeland @ Congress Theater

Strange that there was never a thread about this in the forum. The NY and Canada TA's are all about it..anyways, I have to say Congress Theater is one dodgy shady venue. Last time I was there was to see Sasha and Digweed, and was underage back then so I didn't notice just how sketchy the place is. So endearingly refreshing. After years of Soundbar/Vision that you could comparably eat off of, it was king of nice to see people blazing up in the middle of the floor dressed in 10 yr old t-shirts, pulling out flasks, and red floor gunk splattered all over my shoes at the end of the night.
I haven't really been keeping up with Prodigy since Fat of The Land, which is still the most badass album ever. So I wasn't expecting to hear things I recognized. Then bam: they do Firestarter, Breathe, Voodoo People, Diesel Power,From Outer Space, Poison, Smack My Bitch up... insane!!! By far one of the best concerts I've ever been to, energy in the crowd fantastic and they are so intense live.
Dragged myself to work with throbbing legs this morning with Firestarter in my head.
Anyone else there?? |

ilina! if i remember correctly we went to see just Diggers. the congress is a hole but it's a great venue to see a concert or dj. the spacing gives way to a great vibe
