e..... I want to know if its worth to drive there from L.A. I want to see him more than once so I'm checking alll the California events to see if they're worth driving to... Ruby Skye is 21+, and I don't know about San Diego... from experience, what has the security been like at 21+ events that you've gone to and at what clubs? bouncers, hired yellow-jacket event staff, cops, etc. I'm wondering if its worth bringing an ID..

Like any other 21+ club I guess. I've been to 4th & B a few times, nothing to worry about if you're really 21+ and have an ID.

Yes it is 21+.

Security is very tight.

The only under 21 date I think is the Sunday May 14 @ Avalon.

at 4th and B Security will scan your ID with a card reader before entering. That is what they did last weekend.

If you are not 21 then you will have to get a fake that scans. They also look at the ID as well

they dont look much at the id unless it really doesnt look like you. if you look like the pic then no worries. and if you do get a fake get a good one.

Hmmm I can get one that looks great but it doesn't scan... is there an excuse I can use or where is the best place to get a scannable ID?

When I went to 4th and B last weekend, they just glanced at my id, no big deal. if your ID looks questionable its going to be harder to get in. It's worth taking a shot, but it's hard to get a good fake, and it would suck if you bought tickets, drove down to the venue and got turned away because they called your buff.

back before I had an ID, I tried to go to the Tiesto NYE set at the Palladium in 2004 and I tried to see if I could get in. I stood there the whole night just waiting for a chance to ask someone if I could "buy" my way in. I tried to pay some of the guards a couple hundred bucks and they said I needed an ID. I asked if people got "busted" at any time during the night and some guy said there were machines that they put the IDs into. Ever since then, I wondered about them. That was when I was 17 and now I reallllly want to get in because I'm sure Tiesto won't be as big when I'm of age to get into the events I want to go and he might not even be alive (God forbid) so I want to see him as much as I can now... I remember I accidentally was in a 21+ line for a normal rock concert to drink alcohol so I thought I would see what it was like to get an alcohol wristband and they checked my ID by putting it in this small yellow machine that looked a little bigger than a calculator and tried to scan it and it didnt work and they were busy so they let me in. I don't know if its like that at a club since I've never been to one but maybe its the same? I always hear stories of "huge scary bouncer guys" but I don't know if its like this in real life at those clubs.

The best bet for a fake is an out of state ID. Try to get something from New Mexico or Oregon, those are easy to fake and since most doormen aren't familiar with out of state ID's they won't be able to spot a fake as easily.
