LFA took place in 2004 even though the parade itself didn't happen, and PvD/Vandit are exclusively in charge of it, whereas the LP is run by Dr. Motte. Fight The Power does not = Loveparade, something that the people who were in Berlin in 2004 might want to keep in mind before booking tickets. About a million people there to show off for the cameras (Loveparade) make quite a bit of a difference to a couple of thousand people there for the music (Fight The Power). Then of course there's the people who are there for the World Cup who just want to start ..

so you think love parade will be e??

the world cup finishes the week before too, i've checked that. Didn't fancy being there at the same time as the world cup, theres bound to be trouble with the lowlife england scum out there:rolleyes:

Well that's one bad factor out of the way at least. :)

The reason Fight The Power was the mindblistering experience that it was is because it had none of the overcommercialized Loveparade factors left over. No glaring MTV/Viva/RTL II float, no superstar DJ brigade, no insane media hype, no 500k of people who come to Berlin to show off cos they heard Loveparade is "cool" on the radio, almost no admongering sponsors and no army of policemen. It was just a handful (couple of thousand) of people who were there to celebrate electronic music and tell people that it isn't dead by a long shot.

In short, Fight The Power was as close to the original Loveparade roots as you can possibly get these days, and you're not going to get that vibe back on a Loveparade that is a capitalist dinosaur filled with a slew of people who only are there to show themselves off.

True and not true imo. Fight the power was as close as one can get to the roots of the loveparade, but the loveparade is big enough for everyone to find his place (float). Maybe there will even be something special for TA`s this year... ;)
