Mr.Mystery
Well,
I heard there used to be a genre around called "speedcore" that went up to 1000bpm...
But - uh - I don't think it ever gained much recocgnition... :D

According to Guiness Moby's "Thousand" has the highest BPM (guess the number yourself:)). I wouldn't call it trash, but I wouldn't classify it as essential either. It starts with this scream sample that is also used in Arome's "Scream" and then this really slow menacing bassdrum kicks in. For the next minute or two it then simply gets faster and faster until it breaks down and then starts over again.

Well invest in some decks and vinyl and do it yourself. Or use something like acid, which can b picked up from any good warez site. :) Then you can make your mp3 any bpm, there r probably loads of software that will do it though. Can say i have ever been interested in really fast stuff though

But"Thousand" is absolutely e! Stick with gabber and ahrdcore, for half decent fast tunes

Oh, i found this on the net.. what do u think? true (the part about physically damage things)???? :p

"The most recent permutation of techno music is gabba or gabber. It is hardcore taken to the extreme. It can run up to 400-500 BPM. It generally has bass so low and hard that it has been known to physically damage things. There are no vocals, no soul-just very hard, very fast music. Oftentimes gabber uses 'terror' samples, of death, murder, beatings. The samples of women crying out to "Join in the vibe" are gone. The samples of a man screaming, "I'm gonna kick your ing ass" have taken their place. "

i hear him play it live this summer.. funny as hell and people were going nuts! hes really good live, really entertaining and "stage concious." tells jokes, stories, talkts to people in the audience, plays a song, has fun.. he climbed up onto the huge pillars that were holding up all the lighting ans started to wail away on his guitar! what a good, down-to-earth (maybe even so down hes underground) guy.
