i've found that house and hip hop compliment each other very, very well.

Yup. In addition Breaks, Jungle and UKG also have a very urban influence.

Trance and hip hop however is like oil and water.

UKG imo should be considered a sub genre of "urban"

"Urban" is not a sub genre but an "umbrella" genre describing various different styles.

But here we go getting into the dumbest conversation in music. Genre definetion.

When I saw Jazzy Jeff he mixed both house and hip-hop and the two complimented each other well.

i remember armin dropping a remix of P.Diddy's "Let's Get Ill" last sept. at crobar right after (or before i dont quite remember  ) p. diddy came on stage to rock out with him...it was ok from what i recall

personally, ive heard breaks that were an awesome fusion of badass beats and attitude with the occasional trance-y melody (and trance samples) to keep your interest..

I have to say I love ALL music... anything with a beat, I dance to. I am a hugeeeeeee fan of "Afterhumps", and after Floorwhore sent me the recent sean miller miami final set, I am in love with around the 27:30 mark where he mixes Busta Rhymes (my favorite rapper)'s new song "Touch It"......QUALITY listen people...

AMAZING...

The track on Sean Miller's set is actually daft punk - technologic not touch it by Busta Rhymes.
