I remember this happening when i visted my grandparents in India. I had taken a German flight into Dehli, and had a German paper with me.
Everytime they called, I just read the German paper. A few days of that, and they never called back again :D |

| The other possibility which works a lot like the call centre is telemarketting. Some offices operate off the same type of automated call system where the person calling (via automatic dialers) doesn't actually hear anything till a few seconds in, and frequently by the time they do hear anything, the person receiving the call has either hung up or is running their mouth. ;) |

Yup, get that all the time! Constantly picking up the phone with nobody there. No voice, nothing. |

Ya me too. . But I've gotten thenm like really odd hours though. Like I get them between 12:00pm-5:00pm which is fine but then I get them @ like 1:00am, and it's the same number. . .why are they calling me @ 1:00am? |

Yes but it's the same 1-*** number ( I dont remember) but I've answered before and they talked to me, but @ 1:00am, the same number.. . .grrr. I do get prank calls often, so im not surprised if it's one of those, but still....*Humph* |

I worked in a call centre back when I was in school and had to work one saturday morning. It was an investment firm and I answer the call...all I hear is heavy breathing...at those times the markets were nuts (2000) and people used to hold for like 30 minutes-2 hours on the phone so we were supposed to at least give someone the benefit of the doubt and hold on for like 2 minutes before we hung up if no one was there.
Anyway, after about 5 seconds or so I hear some heavy breathing...and I'm pretty sure the dude was "beating the meat". I was like hello, you've reached *insert company name here*. If you would like to do a trade or need some help with your investments I'd be glad to assist you. I called over my supervisor and we all had a great laugh together.
Ewww..maybe he meant to dial a 1-900 #. Or maybe I just "give good phone" ;) |

Man is it a 1-800 number? cause that happens to me at least once a day! sometimes more! its gets soo effin annoying.. it just happend like 20 mins ago and i just screamed " OFF" into the phone cause i was so annoyed!
