Prodigy Nokia theater Review!! (pg. 2)

I know that I don't know many of you...so I guess that wouldn't count towards TA representation...but holy crap sooooo much energy. Standard tracklist for sure, but they sure did bring it. I think I had more fun than the last time @ Hammerstein a few years back. I don't know how Keith keeps moving like that for a whole set. He was soaked by the end. Liam is a genius. Sometimes Maxim's shrieks were a little bit much, but they were definitely into it and appeared to be having a blast rocking the NYC. The pit was rocking and rolling the whole night. I am a big dude and spent most of my time protecting the small females that were crazy enough to get caught up in that. Good times no doubt.

As for Freeland, technically he is pretty sick. He was in a tough spot. He actually walked out after his first track (after he had to restart it when the opening DJ hit stop on the CDJ). Then a roadie came on and put Metallica on. Freeland eventually came back like ten minutes later and started his set for real. It was just tough to build anything in a room that was just dying for the Prodigy.

I was definitely pleased with my Wed. night.

I thought Adam Freeland was a little boring at first. I was expecting a harder, angrier sound. He improved towards the end of his hour but was abruptly cut off. Some kids on the subway said Adam was pissed about that and flipped one of the decks into the crowd. Just wasn't his night.

Prodigy blew me away. They seemed to have endless energy and intensity. I think I smelled Keith Flynt's sweat when he passed us in the crowd lol It was a different type of event for me, but a nice change of scenery. Lots of agressive dancers, but for the most part it was fine in the pit as long as you were willing to shove back as hard as you were being shoved. :toothless

A few videos:

Are you ready New York?

Keith going nuts.

Videos don't seem to be working for me...

Also I don't know how you aren't scared of the pits and crazy dancers! First of all, those shirtless nasty guys, BARF. Second of all, if an Amazon like me gets scared, how do you do it? There was this one tiny girl going WILD, everyone was scared of her, she was freaking out more than the guys. And people throw elbows around like rice... not a fan...

Try them again. She had them on private. She wasn't scared because she had me, Mr. Law & Order, protecting her. :haha:

Shirtless, aggressive nasty guys FTL, though. Christina actually thought there'd be more than there were. At least I kept clothed.

Busted.  :toothless

Interestingly enough, the guy who's in the office next to me at work tapped me on the back last night, too.
