All right, time for a couple reviews.

Matthew Dekay: Overall, I liked his set. I'm a big fan of progressive trance, and his track selection was pretty hot, giving a taste of what he'd probably play if he were headlining. He played a couple mixes of some of his own productions, like Bad and Digifrutella which were pretty hot as well. Not sure what else to say since he was an opener.

Markus Schulz: OK, I absolutely LOVE Markus Schulz but his set Wednesday night was partially disappointing to me. I heard a lot of old stuff, and anything new to me wasn't really especially hot to my ears. I dunno, maybe it was when he was trainwrecking for about a minute straight before finally mixing out (It seemed like he kept trying to fix it, but it pretty much train wrecked for a LONG time), but I just wasn't feeling his set as much as I thought I would. DJ wise, he was off on more than one occasion, and his track selection seemed kind of boring to me. However, I'm a huge Markus fan, and this review is kind of being hard on him, since I expect so much - he still did a pretty great job.

Armin van Buuren: Heard the first part of his set, then got kinda bored and decided to head over to the Terrace, which leads me to...

Mauro Picotto: Now here was the surprise of the night for me. I really enjoyed Mauro's terrace set and thought his crowd interaction, mixing, and track choices were absolutely superb. Mauro kept me moving until he got off, which is when Adam Beyer I believe stepped up and started spinning. I had never heard many of the tracks Mauro had played before, but he definitely made a new fan out of me that night - didn't really realize what he was spinning these days.

Now for really big, but decent quality videos:

And this is coming from a BIGGER fan. :wtf: I was sober the whole night. (And that's in' RARE, BELIEVE ME!) I don't recall hearing any trainwrecking on Markus' part, and believe me, I was listening carefully.

This is the only thing we can defintely agree on.

Matthew Dekay doesn't play Progressive Trance... Maybe a few select, but mainly Prog House.

If that's the case, it's no wonder I was making faces all night long and spasming like I was having a convulsion to his set.

I'd like to say he definitely trainwrecked pretty bad on that one mix I spoke of, since you could hear him trying to fix it then losing it again, but who knows. I had someone else that I was with hear it too, but you know how that goes. Either way, my main problem was his track selection; it was disappointing for a WMC set from someone like Markus. I felt like I was listening to an older set from 05' or something. Oh well, Markus is still my #1 choice for the opening slot for my "Ultimate WMC Friday Night Space Show" which would consist of Markus opening, PvD headlining, and Edgar closing with the kind of stuff from his Nocturnal sessions

As for Dekay, this was my first time hearing him spin, yet I'm familiar with his productions. I suppose I just said prog trance instead of house since some of the prog house heads I know would kill me if they heard that's what I was calling prog house these days - it could have been much worse, DA ;)

No disappointments here. He played no fluff, no Sateli, no tracking my anus down, no monday POO, no CRAP whatsoever. Even I was jumping up and down and having a blast to the set.

Much worse as in it felling me to the floor, foaming at the mouth, begging for the autistic crap "Tooth" Decay was playing to come to a merciful stop?

You mean a crappily shot video with no sound.

The sound of Ableton has corrupted the world! If markus trainwrecked i didnt notice it. I heard so many bad wrecks at some other partys..and trust me, they were BAD lol
