| Me and a friend were laughing the other day about this tradition at Dartmouth that may be stopped this year. At Dartmouth I guess students must stay for 1 summer semester during their 4 years. So I guess each summer all the kids on campus get intertubes and float around the nearby river while they all get faced.Anybody got anything to match that? |

| not a funny thing, but an interresting thing. the medical students had a paper on the wall telling students that they offered €100 for one square milimeter of skin from your back. i would have sold a big chunk if i had the possibility :( |

| at one of the college i went to they had like a "coming out of the closet day" where people would write their name in chalk in front of the dorm hall they lived in. it was funny to write other peoples' names on there. |

back when i was at ORI, before Spring Break every year the kids in the floor above mine would have this crazy tournament which involved kegs upon kegs of cheap beer (like PBR) and seeing who could jump out the highest window unscathed.
not something i ever took part in :o
very funny though, the ambulances were always there at least once per event :p one kid landed on his head! he didn't die though. |

during homecoming week, on homecoming night, at the stroke of midnight is a thing called "Mass Campenielling". you're supposed to bring your g/f or b/f there and when the clocktower [campenielle] chimes midnight you kiss.
but it really turns into an all out huge make-out session as most people who go there are just looking for some tail.

another festival we have every year is VEISHEA that celebrates all the different colleges. there's a parade and everything - it's really quiet lame; but two years ago there was a riot in campustown that caused some $400K in damage and they had to cancel it. it's coming back this year - and they're making it wet again, meaning you can now drink alcohol on campus [during that weekend] |

| The radio station (which Im a manager of) has Jellofest every year where we supply gallons upon gallons of Jello for people to wrestle each other in. That takes place over Homecoming weekend. And in November we have a turkey chucking contest with cash prizes - the person who can throw a frozen turkey the farthest wins. I guess those are the only "weird" things we do. |
