A ((bassline)) question , any advice?

Dear all...
I really want to know what are you advice for anyone who wants to make a bassline like that in Menno De Jong's "Guanxi" in Above & Beyond (Anjunabeats Vol.2)...for the people who know how to make that punchy bass (i.e. the waveform , the effects added and/or compressor parameters) ...
