From a producers ear, so many of the pop and hip hop records played on MTV sound very rushed.. and those characters like Little Jon and Chamillionare have the same producers. So much simulation of cheesy synths and effects, like delay, sound like .. it really shows how the electornic producers who brew their tunes in their basement and are musically trained blow "top 40 engineers" out of the water!!!
i think Pop and hip hop sounds poor, rushed art! music is art.. and those guys arnt the next Michelango |

Well, that's no surprise. TV of now is pretty much all crap - at least in my area.
The only stuff I watch on TV nowadays is Spongebob and the news :P |

ehh, sometimes real world can be entertaining, if only to watch the girls act like sluts and stuff.
One thing though. where do they people who vote on trl go to watch the videos? its obviously not mtv since they dont play any. |

I work with Mtv India... its the same here... and I'm sorry but IMO Beevis + Butthead were the beginning of the end of music on MTV. Its their success with audiences (and advertisers), along with road rules and Real world that prompted MTV to move away from a music only format...
If you want music on tv, at least in India, switch to VH1.
