Seriously, if your coming to go to SAE, Byron has the best facility, but Sydney and Melbourne are good too, so Your choice would be out of those. Perth and Brisbane get the hand-me-down equpiment from Adelaide I heard
.
Why is it no-one ever thinks about Adelaide? And don't you Vics go knockin it. Adelaide is a great city, just small.
if I were you I'd choose Syndey for the weather, but Melbourne for the social aspect - depends what you want more considering you'll be hear to study. Don't expect much music 'life' in Byron, not enough people, but it would be wicked for relaxing.

Damn, I should get my ass to Tasmania then! But I forget... I'm coming to study. And yeah, it's at SAE, so I suppose it really IS between Byron Bay, Sydney, and Melbourne. Now... regarding the weather... how is it in Melbourne? I love 4 seasons, I love snow in the winter, and sun in the summer (ideally)... but hey, I accept things as they are.

I'd think Byron Bay would be some sort of crazy hippy town from the pictures I saw on their website... I'm so disappointed! There's GOTTA be some crazy illegal desert raves! =D

if you like all the different seasons you'll love melbourne, we quite regularly get all of them...in one day.

Helsinki!!!

Your location says you are in the Netherlands but coming from LA? Please explain.

If you like big parties with good recoveries then come to Melbourne. If you prefer egg & bacon muffins, people putting make up on you and eating dry cereal in the morning then Sydney would be suitable for you ;)

Ah, I was living in the Netherlands for a while, just haven't updated that. Wow, you really downcasted Sydney there. I think I'm really liking Melbourne so far, over Sydney, based on all the info I've gathered thanks to you guys. So now... I suppose... SAE Melbourne vs Byron Bay??

don't pay attention to the results though, there are more active melb.ta folk than syd.ta peepz on this forum these days.

My aunty lives in LA, what are are you from? To be completely honest Sydney and Melbourne are very different places but both very interesting and lots of fun. I lived in Sydney myself for awhile until I realised they have recoveries ;) (except Moe)
