i called Spirit to see whats going on tonight in case my girlfriend doesnt get into Pacha....
"hey, i was wondering what party is going on tonight?"
"theres no party tonight sir"
"oh... so its not open at all tonight?"
"nope..."
"okay... bye"
....way to go from a fall and winter 2005 of really good talent, to literally NOTHING.... they cant even get local talent on a night where nothings planned? wow pretty sad... :whip: |

That say's it all WMC has nothing to do with it, every where else has people, there's enough local talent to have someone on the decks, but don't even get me started on Spirit, just another reason I don't like the place. |

Pacha dealt with the WMC by getting Sheldon Romero and Eddie Baez... locals, obviously.... all Spirit had to do was do the same.... |

Nah, the saddest Spirit moment was in the fall when Armand van Helden spun there. I remember it clear as day...
"Woooooo! Armand! Armand! Armand! Armand!"
"Wait... why'd the music stop...?"
"It's not even 5am... where's he going?!?!"
"What the !?!?!"
"DJ broke his wrist!!!"
Hehe, I was standing right next to the guy that yelled that last bit, I didn't quite know how to react.
Seriously though, there are clubs in Europe that are open every night of the week; it's pretty damn embarassing that a big venue like Spirit is going downhill like this. I think some new promotions and new shows are neccessary to save Spirit... seriously guys, turn that Hip-Hop off and book some better artists. |

| When we were going into BED at 11:30 last night, there was a pretty long line to get into Spirit for their Carnivale Party. It was definitely a Hot 97 crowd, but they were bringing bodies through the door, which is what matters to the owners. |
